(15B) ORGANIZATION OF DEPARTMENTS.

To provide by ordinance for the reorganization of the
several municipal offices, boards and commissions, em-
braced in Section 31 or in any other section or sections
of this Article or in any ordinance, and in order to co-
ordinate the same to organize, reorganize and abolish any
office, board or commission and/or consolidate the same
with any other office, board or commission and provide
for the several duties, powers and functions thereof and/or
the transfer thereof in whole or in part to or with any other
office, board or commission.

Nothing contained in the foregoing grant of power shall
be construed to apply to the Public Improvement Commis-
sion for the City of Baltimore as established by Ordinance
No. 376 of the year 1920, but said Commission shall con-
tinue as provided by said ordinance and subject to its
limitations. Provided, further, that unless otherwise pro-
vided by Charter amendment, all appointments under any
such organization or reorganization shall be made under
and pursuant to the provisions of Section 268 to 284, in-
clusive, of the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City (1938 Edition), and any amendments thereto pertain-
ing to the City Service Commission.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 261.
(Senate Bill 225)

AN ACT to repeal Section 399 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City
Charter (1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title
"Courts", and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 155 of Article 75 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1939 Edition), title "Pleadings, Practice and Pro-
cess of Law", sub-title "Process", providing that said
section shall not apply to Baltimore City.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 399 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter
(1938 Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Courts",
be and it is hereby repealed.
