WHEREAS, a somewhat similar law for Carroll County was
held unconstitutional by the Court of Appeals some years ago,
thereby rendering these sections inoperative; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 27 to 30, inclusive, of Article 14 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "How-
ard County", sub-title "Auctioneers", be and they are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted,, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 29, 1943.

CHAPTER 246.
(House Bill 406)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
93A of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-title
"County Treasurer", as said section was enacted by Chapter
794 of the Acts of 1941, relating to the advertisement of tax
sales.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 93A of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-
title "County Treasurer", as said section was enacted by
Chapter 794 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

93A. Whenever it becomes necessary for the County Treas-
urer to enforce the payment of taxes by a sale of realty, he
shall advertise such real estate or so much thereof as may be
necessary, once a week for three successive weeks in two
newspapers published in Calvert County, and by handbills
posted at the Courthouse door, and at least ten places in the
district where the property is located, one of such notices to be
posted upon the premises. Any advertised notice of sale under
the provisions of this section shall be deemed sufficient if it
contains the time, terms and place of such sale, the year or
years for which the taxes are due and the amount of same, to
whom the property is assessed, the quantity of land offered for
sale if there is a record evidence thereof, the name or number
of the tract or lot of land, if it bears a name or number, and is
