by Chapter 352 of the Acts of 1941, increasing the amount
which the County Commissioners of Wicomico County may
advance as working capital to the Liquor Control Board of
said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section (b) of Section 66 of Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "County Dispensaries", as said section
was amended by Chapter 352 of the Acts of 1941, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

66. (b) The said board shall have full power and authority
to establish and maintain at Salisbury, a store to be known as
"Wicomico County Liquor Dispensary", for the sale of any
sparkling or fortified wine and any other alcoholic beverage
containing more than fourteen per centum of alcohol by vol-
ume, in sealed packages or containers, which packages or con-
tainers shall not be opened nor their contents consumed upon
the premises where sold. The said board shall have power to
establish branch dispensaries at such places in Wicomico
County as it deems desirable and proper. For the purpose of
establishing and operating such dispensary and/or branch
dispensaries, the Board of County Commissioners of Wicomico
County is hereby authorized and directed to advance, from
time to time, to the Liquor Control Board, such sum or sums
of money, not exceeding f25, 000. 00 as may be necessary to
provide adequate working capital for said Liquor Control
Board, and the said Board of County Commissioners is
hereby authorized and empowered to borrow, upon the credit of
said County, such sum or sums as may be necessary to meet
such advances, and the said Liquor Control Board shall also
be authorized to borrow money, from time to time, upon the
credit of said Board, from any banking institution; provided,
however, that the aggregate sum advanced to or borrowed by
the Liquor Control Board shall at no time exceed the sum of
$25, 000. 00. All sums advanced to the Liquor Control Board
by the County Commissioners, and all sums borrowed by the
County Commissioners or the Liquor Control Board shall
bear interest not exceeding 6% per annum, and shall be repaid,
together with the interest thereon, out of the receipts from
sales made at the County Liquor Dispensary, or branch dis-
pensaries.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
