CHAPTER 209.
(House Bill 330)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Wicomico County", sub-title "Circuit Court", said new
section to be known as Section 18D, and to follow imme-
diately after Section 18C of said Article, relating to the
compensation of the Crier and Bailiffs of the Circuit Court
for Wicomico County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Wicomico County", sub-title "Circuit Court",
said new section to be known as Section 18D, to follow imme-
diately after Section 18C of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows

18D. The compensation of the Crier and Bailiffs of the
Circuit Court for Wicomico County shall be three dollars a
day, payable by the County Commissioners of Wicomico
County upon presentation of the certificate of the Clerk of
said Court setting out the respective attendance and service
of the said Crier and Bailiffs, and the County Commissioners
of Wicomico County are required to levy in advance each year
a sum of money sufficient to pay said Crier and Bailiffs for
such attendance and service.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts
of Acts inconsistent herewith be and they are hereby repealed
to the extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
