ordinance, law or resolution at all times. All ordinances,
resolutions, orders and appropriations shall take effect from
the date of their passage unless otherwise provided therein.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all of the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect on the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 203.
(House Bill 308)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 504
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition) and Section 504A of Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) as the
same was amended by Chapter 614 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1941, title "Prince George's County", sub-title
"Hyattsville", to provide for the redivision of the territory
of the town into three new wards, and election of Council-
men.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 504 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition) and Section 504A of
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), as the same was enacted by Chapter 614 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1941, be, and the same are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

504. The said town of Hyattsville shall be divided into
three wards, as follows:

Ward number one shall embrace all of that part of the said
town bounded as follows: Beginning for the same at the inter-
section of the eastern boundary of the town with the center line
extended of Gallatin (formerly Spencer) Street, and running
thence southerly along the eastern boundary to the Northwest
Branch; thence continuing westerly along the boundary of
said town to the westerly limit thereof; thence northerly along
the western boundary to its intersection with the center line
of Hamilton Street (formerly Columbia Avenue); thence along
