the Chief Magistrate shall prescribe. Nothing herein con-
tained shall affect the status or pension rights of former em-
ployees of the Traffic Court now on retirement.
303. CLERKS: In addition there shall be appointed by the
Chief Magistrate certain clerical assistants designated clerks,
the number of said clerks and their salaries, and the number
and salaries of Court Clerks and Senior Clerks and the salaries
of the Supervisor and the assistant Supervisor shall be as pro-
vided for in the State Budget.
All clerical assistants provided for in this Article shall be
appointed by the Chief Magistrate from lists prepared by the
Board of Police Examiners in the same manner that candi-
dates for the Baltimore City Police Force are now appointed.
The dockets and records of arrests and convictions and all
other records shall be kept by the clerks in such form and
under such plan as may jointly be agreed upon by the Chief
Magistrate of the Traffic Court and the Department of Motor
Vehicles.
304. CORPORATE BOND. The Supervisor, Assistant Super-
visor and all Clerks herein provided for shall give to the State
of Maryland and file with the Clerk of the Criminal Court of
Baltimore City a good and sufficient bond with corporate se-
curity to be approved by the Chief Judge of the Supreme
Bench of Baltimore in the penalty of $5, 000 each, upon the
conditions expressed in each of said bonds that the person
giving it will truly and faithfully discharge, execute and per-
form all and singular the duties and obligations of his position
or office and that he will account and pay over to the proper
authority all fees, costs, fines, penalties, and forfeitures which
he is bound to account for and pay over as aforesaid, and that
he will faithfully and truly account for and pay over to the
party entitled thereto by law all money belonging to such party
which may come into his hands.
305. ACCOUNTING: The several court clerks herein pro-
vided for shall collect and take charge of all fines, penalties,
forfeitures, fees and costs imposed by the Magistrate to whose
court he is assigned and he shall account to the Supervisor for
all such monies collected by him at the close of the Court ses-
sion each day.
The Supervisor shall account, within the time prescribed by
the Motor Vehicle Laws, to the Department of Motor Vehicles
for all fines, forfeitures, penalties, fees and costs collected in
the Traffic Court.
