The court, or the Justice of the Peace or Trial Magistrate in
which the action is pending may order such continuances as
may be necessary to afford the defendant a reasonable oppor-
tunity to defend the action.
The fee of f2. 00 paid by the plaintiff to the Secretary of State
at the time of service shall be taxed in the costs of the proceed-
ings and the Secretary of State shall keep a record of all such
processes which shall show the day and hour of service, and
he shall account for all funds so coming into his hands for such
services, to the proper officer or department of this State.
(e) SERVICE OF PROCESS AGAINST THE PERSONAL REPRESENT-
ATIVES OF A NON-RESIDENT MOTORIST. The provisions shall
apply in any action or proceeding against the personal repre-
sentative, executor, administrator, committee or otherwise, of
a non-resident when such action or proceeding arises out of any
accident or collision in which said non-resident may have been
involved.
(f) FORM OF NOTICE: The following form of notice, to the
defendant, shall be sufficient:

Baltimore City), to recover cause of action or titling attached
hereto; and that service of process against you has been made
by leaving a copy of such process in the hands of the Secretary
of the State of Maryland, or in his office; and that you must
plead to said declaration, cause of action or titling within sixty
days from the date of delivery noted upon your return receipt
to this letter, or else judgment by default may be entered
against you.

107. TAXICABS NOT OPERATING UNDER PERMIT OF PUBLIC
SERVICE COMMISSION AND COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLES FOR
HIRE.
(a) No person, or any officer, agent, servant or employee of
such person shall operate, or cause, permit, or suffer any
taxicab not operating under permit of the Public Service Com-
mission or any commercial motor vehicle for hire, to operate
in either interstate commerce or intra-state commerce over
any street or highway of this State in the transportation of
