CHAPTER 1002.
(House Bill 785)
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County, sitting as the local Board of Health
for said County, to adopt and enforce all needful rules and
regulations concerning sanitation for eating and drinking
establishments, habitable buildings, and water supplies, with-
in their jurisdiction, and to provide therein regulating fees
and charges in connection therewith and penalties for viola-
tion thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted Toy the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County,
sitting as the local Board of Health for said County, be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to adopt and en-
force all needful rules and regulations concerning sanitation
for eating and drinking establishments, habitable buildings,
and private water supplies, within their jurisdiction, and to
provide therein reasonable regulating fees and charges in con-
nection therewith and penalties for the violation thereof; pro-
vided said rules and regulations are in addition to and not in
conflict with any regulations of the State Board of Health or
of any provision of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
190A to 190J, inclusive, of Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery
County" sub-title "Board of Assessment" as enacted by
Chapter 757 of the Laws of Maryland of 1941.
