HERBERT R, O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 1795

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the Board of
License Commissioners for Anne Arundel County shall have
the power to call upon the other administrative departments
of the County and all prosecuting officers for such information
and assistance as it may deem necessary to carry out the pro-
visions of this Article.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act
shall apply to the Sixth District of Anne Arundel County.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
this Act shall not be deemed to be repealed by any Act, either
Public Local or Public General, passed hereafter, unless ex-
pressly referred to and expressly repealed in terms.

SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That all laws, whether
Public General or Public Local, inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act, be and they are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.

SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That if any provision,
clause, sentence or section of this Act shall be declared to be
invalid or in violation of any provision of the State or Fed-
eral Constitution, the remainder of said Act shall stand and
be effective notwithstanding.

SEC. 10. And be it further enacted^ That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.

CHAPTER 1000.
(House Bill 713)

AN ACT to create a Maryland Roadside Council, and to< pre-
scribe its powers and duties.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That there is hereby created a Maryland Roadside Coun-
cil. The Council shall consist of not more than fifteen (15)
members appointed by the Governor to serve for two (2) years
