erages are for sale or use beyond the continental limits and
possessions of the United States.

(m) Every person who shall violate any of the provisions
of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction thereof shall be subject to a fine of not more
than One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000) or imprisonment for not
more than two years in the House of Correction or jail, or
both fine and imprisonment.

4. E. BEER LICENSE, CLASS E (ON SALE) — STEAMBOATS.
Such a license shall be issued by the Comptroller, and shall
authorize the owner or operator of any steamboat, steamship,
ferry boat or other vessel used for the transportation of pas-
sengers operated in this State, to sell beer only for consump-
tion at the public bar, dining room or other room space pro-
vided for such sale and consumption. One such license shall
be issued for each such steamboat, steamship, ferry boat or
other vessel on which such beverages are sold as aforesaid,
and every such license shall be good throughout this State. The
annual fee for such a license shall be Fifty Dollars ($50. 00) per
boat, and shall be payable to the Comptroller, for the use of
the State, before any such license is issued. No holder of any
such license shall be permitted to make any sale thereunder
while the licensed vessel is made fast to any wharf or pier in
any county where such sales are prohibited by local law.

6. E. BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSE, CLASS E (ON
SALE)—STEAMBOATS. Such a license shall be issued by the
Comptroller, subject to the conditions and restrictions here-
inafter set forth and shall authorize the owner or operator of
any steamboat, steamship, ferry boat or other vessel, used for
the transportation of passengers, from ports in Maryland to
coastal ports in other states or foreign ports, to sell all alcoholic
beverages for consumption thereon. One such license shall be
issued for each such steamboat, steamship, ferry boat, or other
vessel on which such beverages are sold as aforesaid, and shall
be good throughout this State. The annual fee for such a
license shall be Seventy-Five Dollars ($75. 00) per boat and
shall be payable to the Comptroller for the use of the State
before any such license is issued. No holder of any such license
shall be permitted to make any sale thereunder while the
licensed vessel is made fast to any wharf or pier in any county
where such sales are prohibited by local law.

35. GENERAL REGULATIONS, SALES TO FEDERAL RESERVA-
TIONS. The provisions of this Article shall not be construed
to prevent the sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages by
manufacturers and wholesalers to persons permitted by
