1752 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 992

in this Act to the Commission or to the Boards of County Com-
missioners of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties shall
be with the purposes of guiding and accomplishing a coordi-
nated, comprehensive, adjusted and systematic development
of the District, the coordination and adjustment of said de-
velopment with public and private development of other parts
of the State of Maryland and of the District of Columbia, and
the protection and promotion of the health, safety, morals,
comfort and welfare of the present and future inhabitants of
the District. In the preparation and making of the plan and
in the exercise of the zoning, planning, subdivision control and
other powers granted to it in this Act, the Commission may
act in conjunction and cooperation with the National Capital
Park and Planning Commission created by Act of Congress
approved April 30, 1926, and the Commission is hereby desig-
nated by the State of Maryland as the representative of the
State of Maryland and for these purposes the Commission is
hereby authorized and empowered to enter into such commit-
ments and agreements with the said National Capital Park
, and Planning Commission as may in the discretion of the Com-
mission seem necessary. The Commission is further empow-
ered to act in conjunction and cooperation with other repre-
sentatives or officers of the United States Government or of
the District of Columbia or of the State of Maryland, including
the Maryland State Planning Commission and Washington
Suburban Sanitary Commission, or of the State of Virginia
or of Montgomery or Prince George's Counties or of any dis-
trict, municipality or other local or district subdivision within
said counties or within said states. The Commission is hereby
further authorized and empowered to prepare or cause to be
prepared general plans for the construction of public works,
improvements and facilities in said District, including the
preparation of actual detailed construction plans and in order
to pay the cost of such plans and planning the County Com-
missioners of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties are
hereby authorized to advance and the Commission is hereby
authorized to receive from time to time, public monies as may
be available and sufficient for that purpose.

F. In the performance of the functions and duties of the
Commission, any member thereof or any employee or agent
thereof shall have the right to enter at all reasonable hours
upon any private premises and into any buildings in the Dis-
trict and to make examinations and surveys and to place and
maintain necessary monuments and marks thereon. Any re-
straint or hindrance offered to. such entry, examination, survey
•or placing or maintenance of monuments or marks by any
owner or tenant or agent of said owner or tenant shall be a
misdemeanor punishable under Section 2AA of this Act.
