and not as public local laws of either county applicable only
to such portion of said District lying within the boundaries of
either such county, and in order that certain amendments may
be made to said provisions of law and the boundaries of said
District extended, Chapter 714 of the Acts of 1939 and Chapter
703 of the Acts of 1927 are hereby respectively repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, Sections 676 to 709, inclusive,
and 664 to 671 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mont-
gomery County, being the sections in which said Acts of As-
sembly respectively appeared in said Code, are hereby repealed
and stricken from said Code and Chapter 373 of the Acts of
1931 and Chapters 381 and 835 of the Acts of 1941 are hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 714 of the
Acts of 1939 and Chapter 703 of the Acts of 1927, as herein
repealed and re-enacted, shall hereafter read as follows, each
of the following lettered paragraphs corresponding to the
consecutive sections of said Acts of Assembly, in the order
above stated, and each such paragraph to be hereafter identified
by its separate letter or letters and the prefix, "Section 2—":

A. The area in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties
within the boundaries hereinafter in this section designated is
hereby incorporated for the purposes hereinafter set forth, and
shall be known as the Maryland-Washington Regional District,
hereinafter referred to as the District.

The boundaries of the District shall be as follows:
Beginning at a point where the Maryland-District of Colum-
bia Boundary Line, in Montgomery County, intersects with
the Maryland-Virginia Boundary Line on the southwest side
of the Potomac River and running thence in a northwesterly
direction about 12. 5 miles along the said Boundary Line to its
intersection with a straight line produced southwesterly from
the intersection of the centers of Falls Road and the road
running westerly and northwesterly from Scotland, at Way-
side School, through Oak Spring Lock Triangulation Station;
thence northeasterly about 5. 3 miles along the aforesaid
straight line extended to its intersection with a line 300 feet
east of and parallel to the center of Seven Locks Road; thence
southerly about 0. 1 mile along the aforesaid line to its inter-
section with a line 300 feet north of and parallel to the center
of the Montrose Road, which road runs generally easterly from
Seven Locks Road to Randolph; thence easterly about 2. 7
miles along the aforesaid line to its intersection with a line
300 feet southwest of and parallel to the center of the Rock-
ville-Washington Road; thence northwesterly about 2. 3 miles
along the aforesaid line to its intersection with the southern
boundary of the Town of Rockville, as defined by Sections 902y
