for each such trailer from the County Commissioners for the
maintenance or operation thereof. The license fee for each
such trailer shall be Five Dollars ($5. 00) for each calendar
month or fractional part thereof but the owner or lessee there-
of may, on the payment of Fifty Dollars ($50. 00), secure a
license for twelve months, or, on the payment of Twenty-five
Dollars ($25. 00), secure a license for six months.

The County' Commissioners may appoint such number of
employees as they may deem necessary to enforce the provi-
sions of this sub-title, the compensation of such employees
to be paid from the proceeds from said licenses. Any balance
remaining from said license fees shall be paid into the gen-
eral funds of the County.

216. No person, firm or corporation, owning, leasing, occu-
pying or controlling any area or tract of land in Saint Mary's
County, shall permit or allow any person, firm or corporation
to place, park, use, occupy, or maintain any trailer upon any
such area or tract of land without having the license required
by Section 215 of this Article. Any person, firm or corporation
violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof be fined not more
than $25. 00 for each such violation.

217. Any person operating or maintaining a trailer in St.
Mary's County without having secured a license, as required
by Section 215, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon
conviction thereof, shall be fined not more than Twenty-five
Dollars ($25. 00) for each violation, and the license fee shall
be and it is hereby declared to be a lien upon such trailer or
trailers.

SEC. 2. And 'be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 974.
(House Bill 421)

AN ACT to add four new sections to Article 19 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St..
Mary's County", sub-title "Licenses", said new sections to
be known as Sections 124A to 124C, inclusive, and to follow
immediately after Section 124 of said Article, relating to
the licensing of certain vending machines or other ma-
chines or devices operated by a coin or token.
