ed from the time this section (as re-enacted in 1922) goes into
effect.
All salaries as hereinbefore set forth in Paragraphs (1) and
(2) of this section shall be reduced for the fiscal year beginning
September 1, 1935,. and ending August 31, 1936, and for the fis-
cal year beginning September 1, 1936, and ending August 31,
1937, in accordance with the following annual salary scale of
reductions, any and all other provisions of this section and
paragraphs (1) and (2) to the contrary notwithstanding.
Salaries under f 1, 200 shall be reduced by 10%.
Salaries from $1, 200 to $1, 799 shall be reduced by 11%.
Salaries from $1, 800 to $2, 399 shall be reduced by 12%.
Salaries from $2, 400 to $2, 999 shall be reduced by 13%.
All provisions of this section creating any salary increase
because of length of teaching experience due to employment
during one or more years between September 1, 1932 and Au-
gust 31, 1936, are suspended and non-operative for the fiscal
year beginning September 1, 1935, and ending August 31, 1936,
and for the fiscal year beginning September 1, 1936, and ending
August 31, 1937, any and all other provisions of this section
to the contrary notwithstanding.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

(House Bill 313)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
716A, 716B, 716'C/716D, 716E, 716F, 716G, 716H, 716-1,
716K, 716M and 716 N of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Justices of the
Peace and Constables", as said sections were enacted by
Chapter 137 of the Acts of 1939, and to add two new
sections to said Article, said new sections to be known as
Sections 716-O and 716P, and to follow immediately after
Section 716N of said Article, and to repeal Sections 716,
716J, 716L and 748 of said Article, relating to the compensa-
tion, jurisdiction, powers and duties of the Judges of the
Peoples' Court of Baltimore City and the fees, costs and
procedure applicable to proceedings before said Judges.
