1656 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 966

CHAPTER 965.
(House Bill 108)

AN ACT to. add a new section to Article 20 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Som-
erset County", to be under sub-title "Libraries", said new
section to be known as Section 219A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 219 of said Article, authorizing and
directing the County Commissioners of Somerset County
to levy and pay a certain sum annually to certain libraries.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930) Edi-
tion), title "Somerset County", to be under sub-title "Libraries",
said new section to be known as Section 219A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 219 of said Article, and to read as fol-
lows:

219A. The County Commissioners of Somerset County are
hereby authorized and directed to levy and pay annually, be-
ginning with the year 1943, to the Lillian Straton Corbin
Memorial Library, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00)
and to the Princess Anne Public Library, the sum of Four
Hundred Dollars ($400. 00) for the support and maintenance
of said libraries.

SEC. 2. And "be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved May 4, 1943.

CHAPTER 966.
(House Bill 122)

AN ACT to repeal Section 48 of Article 26 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Courts", sub-title
"Pensions of Judges", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 390 of the Acts of 1941, and to enact in lieu thereof a new
section, to be known as Section 48, and to follow immediately
after Section 47 of said Article, relating to the payment of
pensions or salaries to certain classes of judges after active
service is terminated.
