take effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Dorchester County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, "
said new section to be known as Section 47A, and to
follow immediately after Section 47 of said Article, and
to repeal Sections 48, 49, 51, 52 and 53 of said Article,
sub-titles "Cambridge", "Commissioners", "Primary
Elections, " and "General Elections, " Sections 48 and 51
having been amended by Chapter 398 of 1935, and to
enact in lieu thereof five new sections, to be known as
Sections 48, 49, 51, 52 and 53 of said Article, relating
to the appointment of the Supervisor of Elections for
Cambridge and relating to registration of voters and elec-
tions in Cambridge.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly o j Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 10
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), title "Dorchester County, " sub-title "County Com-
missioners, " said new section to be known as Section 47A,
to follow immediately after Section 47 of said Article, and
that Sections 48, 49,. 51, 52 and 53 of said Article, sub-titles
"Cambridge, " "Commissioners, " "Primary Elections, " and
"General Elections, " Sections 48 and 51 having been
amended by Chapter 398 of the Acts of 1935, be and they
are hereby repealed, and that five new sections be and they
are hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Sections
48, 49, 51, 52 and 53 of said Article, and all to read as
follows:
47A. The Commissioners of Cambridge shall appoint
a Supervisor of Elections who shall be designated "Super-
visor of Elections of Cambridge" and be a resident and
qualified voter of the town, and unless removed for cause
by the Commissioners shall hold office for four years from
the date of his appointment and until his successor is ap-
pointed and qualified.
The Supervisor of Elections shall be paid a salary of one
hundred fifty dollars in September of each and every year
