266. The Board of Supervisors of Election of the City of
Hagerstown shall each receive the sum of one hundred
dollars for each primary, general and special election con-
ducted by them, to be paid by the Mayor and Council of
the City of Hagerstown.
SEC. 2. And be it farther enacted, That this Act shall
take effect, on June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to add two new sections to Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County, " to be under a new sub-title "Mar-
riages, " said new sections to be known as Sections 685A
and 685B, and to follow immediately after Section 685
of said Article, prohibiting the solicitation of marriages
and the loitering in or about public buildings and upon
public pavements, streets and highways for the purpose
of soliciting marriages.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That two new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County, " to be
under a new sub-title "Marriages, " said new sections to be
known as Sections 685A and 685B, to follow immediately
after Section 685 of said Article, and to read as follows:
Marriages
685A. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
to solicit any person or persons contemplating matrimony,
in, upon, or about any public buildings, street, or highway
of Washington County, for the purpose of either perform-
ing the marriage ceremony himself or of bringing, taking,
or directing said person or persons contemplating matri-
mony to another person for the purpose of performing said
marriage ceremony.
685B. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
to loiter in, upon, or about any public building or on any
street, pavement, or highway in said County for the pur-
pose of soliciting to perform the marriage ceremony of
