WHEREAS, the provisions of this section were enacted in 1894
to correct certain conditions that no longer exist; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Alary-
land, That Section 151 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title "Mis-
cellaneous Provisions", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

Approved March 12, 1943.

CHAPTER 152.
(Senate Bill 12)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 94 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Time—Standard7',
said new section to be known as Section 1A, and to follow
immediately after Section 1, providing that, during the ex-
istence of the present war, Standard Time throughout the
State shall be that now fixed by the Congress of the United
States as Standard Time for the Eastern Zone.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new Section be added to Article 94 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Time—Stand-
ard", to follow immediately after Section 1 of said Article,
and to be known as Section 1A, said new Section to read as
follows:

1A. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 1 of this
Article, or any other provision of law to the contrary, Stand-
ard Time throughout this State shall be advanced one hour
from the time specified in said Section 1, and the time as so
advanced (which may be referred to as "War Time"), shall
continue to be Standard Time throughout this State so long
as the Act of Congress of the United States of America, ap-
proved January 19, 1942, being Public Law No. 403 of the
77th Congress, Second Session, shall continue to be in effect,
and during such period, all courts and public officers, banking
institutions and all legal and official proceedings shall be regu-
lated in accordance therewith.

When said Act of Congress shall cease to be effective accord-
ing to its terms, such time as so advanced shall be retarded
one hour, and from and after the expiration of said Act of
