Assistant Chief, the Lieutenant and the Sergeants may
upon application each year be continued from year to year
on the approval of the Mayor and City Council without
any limitation as to age.
Every member of the Police Department retired under
the provisions of this section shall be paid a pension or
retirement allowance equal to one-half of the salary re-
ceived by him at the time of his retirement, but no mem-
ber of the department shall be retired on a pension under
this section prior to June 1, 1937.
In order to provide funds with which to pay the pen-
sions authorized by this section, three per cent (3%) of
the regular salary of every member of the Police Depart-
ment shall be deducted each pay day by the Auditor of the
City and shall be paid into a special account to be created
by the City Treasurer, to be known as the Police Pension
Fund. The Mayor and City Council shall appropriate and
pay into said fund seven percent (7%') of the regular sal-
ary of each member of the Police Department for the pre-
ceding six months every six months.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, * That this Act shall
take effect as of June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
336 of Article 93 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law",
subtitle "Wills".
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 336 of Article 93 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Testamentary Law", subtitle "Wills", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:
336. (a) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this
Section all devises and bequests of any lands, or
tenements, or interest therein, and all bequests of any
goods, chattels or personal property of any kind, as de-
scribed in Section 332, shall be in writing and signed by
