Taxes",, sub-title "What shall be taxed and where", said
new section to be known as Section 7 (30) and to follow
immediately after Section 7 (29) of said Article, and to
read as follows:

7 (30) Shares of stock in Credit Unions.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, that the provisions
of this Act shall be applicable to all credit unions for the
taxable year beginning January 1, 1943; but nothing in
this section shall be construed as implying that in the ab-
sence of this Section the shares of stock of credit unions
were properly subject to taxation under the pre-existing
law of this State.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-
section (a) of Section 195 of Article 43, title "Health",
sub-title "Adulteration of Food and Drink, " relating to
the sale of milk sherbet, water ice and ice sherbet.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sub-section (a) of Section 195 of Article
43, title "Health, " sub-title "Adulteration of Food and
Drink, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

195. (a) Ice milk shall be manufactured for sale,
stored, sold or dispensed only in individual portions, pack-
ages or containers prepared in such form at the place of
manufacture. Every such individual portion, package or
container shall be labeled in letters of easily readable size
with the words "Ice Milk".
