ceiving such articles for recording, the Commission shall col-
lect the same recording fee as is charged for the recording of
a plan, agreement or regulation and said fee shall be divided,
accounted for and paid over by the Commission in the same
manner. When such articles of amendment have been de-
livered to the Commission with the recording fee, the amend-
ment or amendments made thereby shall take effect, and not
before. A duly certified copy of such articles and the records
of the State Tax Commission or the Circuit Court or Superior
Court shall be evidence of the amendment or amendments
made thereby.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That a new section be
and the same is hereby added to Article 23 of the Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "Corporations", sub-title "Religious Corporations", to be
known as Section 291A, to follow immediately after Section
291 of that Article, and to read as follows:
291A. In order to carry out the purpose and spirit of Sec-
tions 33 and 48 of Article III of the Constitution of Maryland
and in order to prevent the enactment of special laws, amend-
ing the charters of religious corporations heretofore incor-
porated by special Act, no bill shall hereafter be introduced at
the General Assembly of Maryland for the purpose of amend-
ing the charter of any such religious corporation. Every such
corporation, desiring to amend or change its charter, shall
adopt articles of amendment and file the same with the State
Tax Commission in accordance with the provisions of Section
283 of this Article.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 229
of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Elections'', sub-title "Primary Elections", re-
lating to the nomination of a candidate for public office by
more than one political party and eliminating the obsolete
provision relating to Howard County.
