of each officer thereof, also the county and municipality, with
street and number, if any, where the business is to be con-
ducted. Every such applicant, at the time of making such
application, shall pay to the Administrator of Loan Laws the
sum of two hundred dollars ($200. 00) as an annual license
fee and in full payment of all expenses for examinations
under, and administration of this Article; provided, that if
the license is issued for a period of less than twelve months
the license fee shall be prorated according to the number of
months that said license shall run.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 750.

(Senate Bill 18)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 14
of Article 58A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Loans—Petty", relating to advertising by
radio broadcasts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 14 of Article 58A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Loans—Petty", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

14. No licensee or other person or corporation shall print,
publish, distribute or broadcast over the radio or cause to
be printed, published, distributed or broadcast over the radio
in any manner whatsoever, any written or printed state-
ment, or any statement in a radio broadcast, with regard
to the rates, terms or conditions for the lending of money,
credit, goods or things in action, in amounts of three hundred
dollars (f300) or less, which is false or calculated to deceive.

Any person, and the several officers and employees of any
corporation, who shall violate this section shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable
by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by
imprisonment of not more than six (6) months or by both
such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
