comply with, or the license fails to conform to, the require-
ments of said sub-section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 743.
(Senate Bill 54)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 12
of Article 88B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "State Police", providing that no employee
discharged from the Department, as provided in Section 15
of this Article, shall afterward be eligible for re-appointment.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 12 of Article 88B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "State Police", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

12. No employee discharged from the Department, as pro-
vided in Section 15 of this Article, shall afterwards be eligible
for reappointment. No Police employee who has resigned from
the Department, except those who may have resigned during
a period of National emergency in order to serve in the armed
forces of the United States, shall afterwards be eligible for
reappointment.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
