persons that may be appointed as hereinbefore provided, and
all proper expenses, provided that no person appointed shall
be paid over One Hundred Dollars per month in the discretion
of the County Commissioners; provided, however, that the
Police Officer for the First Election District shall be paid a
salary of One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($125. 00) per
month and the Police Officer for the Second Election District
shall be paid a salary of One Hundred Twenty-five Dollars
($125. 00) per month.

SEC. 2. And "be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 130.
(House Bill 140)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
304 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title "Sales, " au-
thorizing the Orphans' Courts to authorize the sale of real
estate of testates as well as of intestates under certain
conditions.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 304 of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Testamentary Law, " sub-title
"Sales, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments to read as follows:

304. The Orphans' Courts of the State shall have concurrent
jurisdiction with the several circuit courts of this State, as
courts of equity, with like powers to adopt rules and regula-
tions, so as to authorize and direct the sales of real estate of
intestates or testates, where the appraisal value of said real
estate shall not exceed the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars,
and to confirm and ratify said sales in the same manner as
such sales are confirmed and ratified by the several circuit
courts of the State, as courts of equity.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.
