1238 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 727

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 89A of Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cal-
vert County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said section
was enacted by Chapter 263 of the Acts of 1937, be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

89A. The County Treasurer is hereby authorized to
appoint a deputy to assist him in his work. The said dep-
uty to be paid an annual salary of Fifteen Hundred Dol-
lars ($1, 500. 00). The County Commissioners are hereby
authorized and directed to levy the sum of Fifteen Hun-
dred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) per annum for the fiscal year
1937 and for each fiscal year thereafter to pay the salary
of said deputy, and the County Commissioners are hereby
authorized, by unanimous vote, to levy the sum of Three
Hundred Dollars ($300. 00) annually for additional clerical
assistants for said County Treasurer.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 727.
(Senate Bill 386)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 5 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Calvert County", sub-title "State's Attorney", said new
section to be known as Section 299A, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 299 of said Article, authorizing
the County Commissioners to levy and pay additional
compensation to the State's Attorney of said County for
his attendance before the Trial Magistrates Courts of
said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Calvert County", sub-title "State's
Attorney", said new section to be known as Section 299A,
to follow immediately after Section 299 of said Article,
and to read as follows:
