SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 716.
(Senate Bill 197)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tions 123 and 126 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County", sub-title "Roads", Section 123 having been
amended by Chapter 80 of the Acts of 1941 and Section
126 having been amended by Chapter 695 of the Acts of
1939, and to add three new sections to said Article, said
new sections to be known as Sections 127D, 127E and
127F, and to follow immediately after Section 127C of
said Article, relating to the appointment of the County
Roads Board of Frederick County, traffic counts, weights
of vehicles traveling over bridges and the designation of
through highways and prescribing certain duties for the
County Roads Engineer and the County Roads Board.

CHAPTER 717.
(Senate Bill 215)

AN ACT to repeal the sub-title "Assessors and Discovery
of Taxable Property" and Sections 30, 31 and 32 of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
edition), title "Revenue and Taxes"; to repeal and re-
enact with amendments Sections 175(8) of said Article,
as amended by Chapter 729 of the Acts of 1941, and Sec-
tions 179, 180, 184 and 185 of said Article; to repeal
Section 186 of said Article and to add a new sub-title and
three new sections to said Article, said new sub-title to
be known as "Appeal Tax Courts" and said new sections
to be known as Sections 186, 186A and 186B, to follow
Immediately after Section 185 of said Article, establish-
ing a plan of continuous assessment, providing for the
appointment of local assessors, and authorizing the crea-
tion of appeal tax courts in certain counties.
