be closed.
There being no further nominations for Speaker for the Special
Session of 1950, the Hon. C. Ferdinand Sybert, of Howard County,
was elected Speaker for the Special Session of 1950 by yeas and

Whereupon, the Speaker pro-tem declared the Hon. C. Ferdinand
Sybert elected as Speaker of the House of Delegates for the Special
Session of 1950.
The Speaker pro-tem appointed Messrs. Pumphrey and Rams-
burg to escort the newly elected Speaker to the rostrum.
The Speaker pro-tem then administered the oath of office to the
Hon. C. Ferdinand Sybert as Speaker of the House of Delegates for
the Special Session of 1950.
The newly elected Speaker then addressed the House, requesting
speedy adoption of the emergency measures to be introduced.

the House of Delegates of Maryland to serve during the Special
