Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the
Journal of the Senate and that the Secretary of the Senate send a
copy thereof to His Excellency, the Governor, to the Superintendent
of the Maryland State Police, and to Captain Katz.

Which was read and adopted.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEE

Senator Byrnes asked that the rules be suspended in order to
report the following bill, and two-thirds of the Senators-elect,
voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended by yeas and
nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

President, Bailey, Balch, Barton, Beck, Byrnes, Carter, Davis, Della,
Ellison, Fraley, Goldstein, Hoff, Hofferbert, Guy Johnson, Kimble, McAllister,
McLaughlin, Monroe, O'Neill, Phoebus, Shallcross, Storm, Stromberg, Stro-
meyer, Thomas, Turnbull, White. Total—28

NEGATIVE—NONE.

The rules being suspended, Senator Byrnes, for the Committee
on Finance, reported favorably,

Senate Bill No. 1—By the President:

Subject: "MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR
THE PAYMENT OF THE EXPENSES OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND FOR THE EXTRAORDINARY
SESSION OF NOVEMBER, 1950."

Favorable report adopted.

The bill was read the second time and ordered printed for its
third reading.

Upon further motion of Senator Byrnes, and two-thirds of all the
Senators-elect, voting in the affirmative, the rules were suspended
by yeas and nays as follows, to put said bill upon its third reading
and final passage.
