missioners", said new section to follow Section 232B of
said Article 13, to be known as Section 232C and to read
as follows:

232C. The County Commissioners of Harford County
are hereby authorized and empowered to contribute a sum
not to exceed Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500. 00) toward
the purchase of an ambulance to be 'used in Harford County
for the purpose of transporting citizens of said County to
and from hospitals.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
preservation of the public safety, and being passed on a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the mem-
bers elected to the two Houses of the General Assembly of
Maryland, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 550.

(Senate Bill 442)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1 to 62, inclusive, of Article
13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Harford County", sub-title "Aberdeen", being the char-
ter of the Town of Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland,
and to enact in lieu thereof a charter for the Town of
Aberdeen, Harford County, Maryland, said new charter
to embrace Sections 1 to 47 inclusive of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, Article 18, title "Har-
ford County", sub-title "Aberdeen"; said new sections
providing for the government of said Town by a Board
of Town Commissioners and defining the rights, powers,
duties and obligations of the said Town and the said
Commissioners, including the right to pass ordinances,
levy and collect taxes, incur obligations, maintain a
police force, fire department, sewerage system, streets,
alleys, etc. and to employ the necessary personnel to put
into effect the provisions of said Charter; said last clause
being descriptive of some of the powers but not in limi-
tation of the other rights and powers granted under said
Charter.
