Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "City of Bal-
timore", sub-title "City Collector", be and the same are
hereby repealled, and fifty-three new Sections be and the
same are hereby added under the said title and sub-title,
said new Sections to be known as Sections 57, 57A, 58, 58A,
58B, 58C, 58D, 58E, 58F, 58G, 58H, 58-1, 58J, 58K, 59,
59A, 59B, 59C, 59D, 60, 60A, 61, 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 62,
62A, 62B, 62C, 62D, 62E, 62F, 62G, 62H, 62-1, 62J, 62K,
62L, 62M, 62N, 62-0, 62P, 62Q, 62R, 62S, 63, 63A, 63B,
63C, 63D, 64 and 64A, and to follow immediately after
Section 56 and to read as follows:

Section 57. Definitions. When used in this Act, "Col-
lector" means the Collector appointed by the Mayor of the
City of Baltimore in the manner prescribed by the Charter
of said City, whose duty it is to collect all municipal rev-
enues from whatever source derived and all taxes of the
State of Maryland levied or to be levied for any year on
real property in the City of Baltimore.

"Tax" means any unpaid tax levied and assessed on real
property in the City of Baltimore, due to the City of Bal-
timore or to the State of Maryland.

"Municipal lien" means any municipal charge or assess-
ment of any kind whatever which, by provision of law or
ordinance, is a lien against the property on which it is
levied and/or assessed.

"Property" means real property located in the City of
Baltimore, improved or unimproved, held in fee or by
lease.

"Collector's tax roll" means the annual record of assess-
ments of real property in the City of Baltimore prepared
by the Bureau of Assessment for the use of the Collector.

"Person" means any individual, firm, corporation, com-
pany, partnership, trust, estate or fiduciary.

Section 57A. Application of Act. The provisions of
this Act shall apply to all taxes and other municipal liens
which are in arrears at the time this Act takes effect or
which become in arrears after the taking effect of this Act,
notwithstanding the fact that any of such taxes or other
municipal liens were levied and assessed prior to the effec-
tive date of this Act.

SALE BY COLLECTOR

Section 58. Sale of Property for Unpaid Taxes and
Other Municipal Liens. The Collector may advertise and
sell under the provisions of this Act, any property in the
City of Baltimore when any taxes or any other municipal
