priations made by the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more, from license fees or from fines and forfeitures im-
posed under laws or ordinances in force in the City of
Baltimore.

To grant to the officers, agents, servants and employees
of the Police Department of Baltimore City, such of the
benefits and advantages of the Employees' Retirement
System of said City established by Ordinance No. 553,
approved February 1, 1926, and upon such terms and con-
ditions, as the Mayor and City Council may by ordinance
provide, but the officers, agents, servants and employees
of said Police Department when such ordinance becomes
effective who do not wish to receive the benefits and ad-
vantages of said Employees' Retirement System shall be
entitled to pensions for themselves, their widows or
dependents, under existing laws as if this Act and such
ordinance had not been passed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 540.
(Senate Bill 428)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65,
66 and 67 of Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws
and Baltimore City Charter (1938 Edition), title "City
of Baltimore", sub-title "City Collector", and to add
under said title and sub-title fifty-three new sections to
be known as Sections 57, 57A, 58, 58A, 58B, 58C, 58D,
58E, 58F, 58G, 58H, 58-1, 58J, 58K, 59, 59A, 59B, 59C,
59D, 60, 60A, 61, 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 62, 62A, 62B,
62C, 62D, 62E, 62F, 62G, 62H, 62-1, 62J, 62K, 62L,
62M, 62N, 62-0, 62P, 62Q, 62R, 62S, 63, 63A, 63B,
63C, 63D, 64 and 64A and to follow immediately after
Section 56, said new sections relating to the sale of real
property in the City of Baltimore for the non-payment
of State and city taxes and other municipal liens, said
new sections being a revision and recodification of the
provisions of law relating thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65,
66 and 67 of Article 4 of the. Code of Public Local Laws of
