sub-title "General Powers", Section 6, Sub-section 26,
sub-heading "streets, Bridges and Highways", said new
section to be known as sub-paragraph "Q" thereof, the
said sub-paragraph "Q" to be entitled "Regulating the
use of streets by prohibiting the use thereof by certain
motor vehicles7*, and to follow immediately after sub-
paragraph "P" thereof, extending the powers of the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore by authorizing
said Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to regulate
the use of its streets by prohibiting the use of such
streets by such motor vehicles as the Mayor? and City
Council of Baltimore by ordinance may deem necessary
or expedient in the interest of the public.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section be added to Article
IV of the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of
Baltimore", sub-title "General Powers", Section 6, Sub-sec-
tion 26, sub-heading "Streets, Bridges and Highways", said
new section to be known as sub-paragraph "Q" thereof, the
said sub-paragraph "Q" to be entitled "Regulating the use
of streets by prohibiting the use thereof by certain motor
vehicles", and to follow immediately after sub-paragraph
"P" thereof, and to read as follows:
Q. Regulating the use of streets by pro-
hibiting the use thereof by certain mo-
tor vehicles.
To regulate the use of streets, highways, lanes, roads,
alleys and other public ways in the City of Baltimore by
prohibiting the use of such streets, highways, lanes, roads,
alleys and other public ways in the City of Baltimore by
any and all such motor vehicles, and under such circum-
stances or upon such conditions, as the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, from time to time, by ordinance, may
deem necessary or expedient in the interest of! the public;
provided, however, that any such regulation or regulations
shall not involve any charge of any kind for the use of
any such streets, highways, lanes, roads, alleys or other
public ways, other than reasonable charges for the parking
within space set aside exclusively for parking purposes, in
congested sections, of the City of Baltimore.
SEC, 2, And be it further enacted,. That if there be
any inconsistency between this Act and any of the pro-
visions of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of M!ar$yland
Flack's 1939 Edition), the provisions of said Article 56
