hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:
2. The Governor shall designate one member of the
Commission as the Chairman thereof, and he shall be the
administrative and executive head of the Commission and
shall have the final authority in all matters relating to the
assignment of cases for trial and the administrative work
of the Commission and its employees, except in the promul-
gation of rules and regulations wherein the Commission
shall act as a body, and in the trial and determination of
cases, as hereinafter provided. The other three members
are hereby vested with authority to hear and determine any
hearing, trial, inquiry or investigation which the Commis-
sion is authorized to hold or undertake; and any one of such
other three members can preside alone at any such hear-
ing, trial, inquiry and investigation, and every order and
determination made by any one member shall be deemed to
toe the order or determination of the Commission. The
Chairman shall only sit on the trial of cases when, in his
judgment, it is necessary to expedite the trial work of the
Commission.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 13 of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "State
Industrial Accident Commission", be and the same is here-
by repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as follows:
13. Annually on or before the first day of January, the
Chairman of the State Industrial Accident Commission
. shall make a report to the Governor, which shall include
a statement of the number of awards made by it, the causes
of the accidents leading to the injuries for which the
awards were made, and a detailed statement of the expenses
of the Commission, together with any other matters which
he deems proper to report to the Governor, including any
recommendations he may desire to make.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Sections 19, 20,
22, 23, 24, 25 and 29 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensa-
tion", sub-title "State Accident Fund", be and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so
as to read as follows:
19. It shall be the duty of the Commissioners of the
State Accident Fund to classify any industries subject to
