title "Health, " sub-title "Chiropractic"; for the purpose
of changing the method of appointing the Board of Chi-
ropractic Examiners; of changing the qualifications of
applicants for licenses to practice chiropractic; of grant-
ing the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners the power
to recognize schools wherein chiropractic is taught; of
changing the amount of the fee for licenses; of making
certain modifications in examinations given by the State
Board of Chiropractic Examiners; of making certain reg-
ulations with respect to repeated convictions before the
State Board of Chiropractic Examiners of false and mis-
leading advertising; of making certain regulations with
respect to licenses which have lapsed for two years or
more; of changing the mileage rate allowed members of
the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 441, 442, 443, 445, 446, 448, 450
and 451 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
Flack's Edition 1939, title "Health, " sub-title "Chiroprac-
tic, " be, and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments as follows:
441. There is hereby created and established a board to
be known by the name and style of the State Board of Chi-
ropractic Examiners, and said board shall be composed of
three (3) resident course graduated practicing Chiroprac-
tors of integrity and ability, who shall be residents of the
State of Maryland and who shall have practiced Chiro-
practic in the State for a period of at least five (5) con-
secutive years. No two members of said board shall be
graduates of the same school or college of Chiropractic.
442. The Governor of the State of Maryland shall with-
in thirty (30) days after the taking effect of this Act ap-
point three (3) Chiropractors, who shall possess the quali-
fications specified in Section 441, to constitute the members
of said board. Said members shall be so classified by the
Governor that the term of office of one shall expire in one
year, one in two years and one in three years from the date
of appointment. Annually thereafter the Governor shall
appoint one member from a list of five (5) names, includ-
ing the incumbent member, which list has been submitted
to him by the Maryland Chiropractic Association, and
which member shall serve f or a period of three (3) years.
The list of members submitted to the Governor shall be
licensed practitioners and shall possess the qualifications
specified in Section 441. The Governor shall fill vacancies
