SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of
this Act or the application thereof to any person or circum-
stance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the re-
mainder of this Act or the application of such provision to
other persons or other circumstances.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to fix the rate of State Taxation for each of the
years nineteen hundred and forty-two (1942) and nine-
teen hundred and forty-three (1943), in accordance with
the provisions of Section 28, Article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws of the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland j That the rate of State taxation for each of the
years nineteen hundred and forty-two (1942) and nineteen
hundred and forty-three (1943), respectively, is hereby
fixed in the manner following, and the taxes for each of the
State loans herein specified to be used to pay the install-
ments of principal and interest thereon.
