SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 197 of Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-
title "Road Signs", be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 456.
(House Bill 597)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
805A of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-title
"County Treasurer", as said section was amended by Chap-
ter 170 of the Acts of 1937, relating to the compensation of
the Treasurer of Washington County for the collection of
motor vehicle taxes for certain towns.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 805A of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "County Treasurer", as said section was
amended by Chapter 170 of the Acts of 1937, be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows:

805A. The County Treasurer of Washington County is here-
by authorized, empowered and directed to collect all taxes
levied by the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown and by the
Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown and Hancock upon
each and every motor vehicle owned by residents of the City of
Hagerstown and the towns of Funkstown and Hancock, and it
shall be the duty of the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown and
the Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown and Hancock to
assess each and every such motor vehicle separately and apart
from the assessment on any other motor vehicle or kind or class
of assessable property, and the taxes assessed on each such
motor vehicle shall be payable separate and apart from all other
taxes and the said Mayor and Council of Hagerstown and the
Burgess and Commissioners of Funkstown and Hancock shall
certify to said County Treasurer, the names of all residents
of said City and towns owning motor vehicles, the kind and
