HERBERT R. O'CONOR, GOVERNOR. 741

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary*
land, That Section 151 of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington
County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as amended by
Chapter 123 of the Acts of 1931, be and it is hereby repealed
and that a new Section 151 be and it is hereby added to said
Article 22, to read as follows:

151. (a) On January 2nd or 3rd of each year, the County
Commissioners shall fix their levy for the calendar year.

(b) The taxes so levied shall be payable from the 15th day
of January following the levy but the County Commissioners
by resolution may permit payment of such taxes in semi-
annual installments and may provide for graduated discounts
not exceeding five per centum (5%) for payment of taxes
within designated periods after the levy, but there shall be
at least thirty (30) days in each of such periods during which
taxes may be paid at each successive rate of discount.

(c) During the month of April of each year, the Tax Col-
lector shall deliver or mail a tax bill to each taxpayer of the
county whose taxes have not been paid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 440.
(House Bill 476)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
816A of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-
title "Wild Animals", as said section was enacted by Chap-
ter 445 of the Laws of Maryland of 1939, relating to the
bounties payable for the killing of certain animals.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 816A of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title Washington
County", sub-title "Wild Animals", as said section was en-
acted by Chapter 445 of the Laws of Maryland of 1939, be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

816A. Any citizen of Washington County, Maryland, who
shall kill or destroy a fox, wildcat, weasel, horned owl, hawk
