CHAPTER 378.
(House Bill 655)
AN ACT to transfer title to certain unpatented lands within
the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Montgomery
County to the Government of the United States for park
purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That title to all unpatented lands in Montgomery Coun-
ty within the George Washington Memorial Parkway, created
by Public Act No. 284, 71st Congress, 2d Session, be, and
the same is, hereby transferred from the State of Maryland to
the Government of the United States for use in perpetuity for
park purposes, and as part of the said George Washington
Memorial Parkway; provided, however, that in the event that
any lands, title to which is hereby transferred, should at any
time be used for other than park purposes and as part of the
George Washington Memorial Parkway, title to said lands
shall revert in the State of Maryland.

CHAPTER 379.
(House Bill 657)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1939 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-
title "Motor Vehicles", said new section to be known as
Section 159A, and to follow immediately after Section 159
of said Article, relating to the payment of taxes on motor
vehicles in Montgomery County before issuance or transfer
of license plates or markers by the Commissioner of Motor
Vehicles.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Motor Vehicles", said new section to be
known as Section 159A, to follow immediately after Section
159 of said Article, and to read as follows:
159A. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles is hereby
authorized and directed to refuse to issue or transfer to any
resident of Montgomery County any license plate or marker
