sation and the same expenses as would have been received
under this sub-title by the trial magistrate whose absence
or inability caused the substitution, and the salary of the
trial magistrate so causing the substitution shall be dimin-
ished by a sum necessary to compensate the substitute as
herein provided, for any such period of absence or inability
in excess of 15 days in any one year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Montgomery County (1939 Edition—being
Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land), title "Montgomery County", sub-title "Circuit
Court", sub-heading "Speedy Judgment Act", said new
section to be known as Section, 134A, and to follow im-
mediately after Section 134 of said Article, authorizing
the plaintiff in suits under the Speedy Judgment Act
to file photostatic copies of the cause of action accom-
panied by an affidavit in lieu of filing the original cause
of action, in certain cases.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery County
(1939 Edition—being Article 16 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Circuit Court", sub-heading "Speedy Judgment
Act", said new section to be known as Section 134A, to
follow immediately after Section 134 of said Article, and
to read as follows:
134A. It shall be a sufficient compliance with the pro-
visions of the last preceding section if the plaintiff shall,
in lieu of filing the original bond, bill of exchange, prom-
isory note, or other writing or account by which the de-
fendant is so indebted, file a photostatic copy thereof, ac-
companied by an affidavit of the plaintiff, or someone on
behalf of the plaintiff, that such photostatic copy is a true
copy of the original cause of action; provided, that the
