530 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 32&

Dollars per annum, and an Assistant State's Attorney at a
compensation not exceeding Two Thousand Dollars per an-
num, to be paid out of the fees coming into the hands of the
said State's Attorney for Baltimore County, said Deputy
State's Attorney and Assistant State's Attorney to perform
such work in the State's Attorney's office as he may direct
and as they are now or may hereafter be authorized by law
to perform.

750B. The State's Attorney for Baltimore County is hereby
authorized and empowered to receive from the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County, and the said County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to the said State's Attorney, a sum not exceed-
ing Two Thousand Dollars per annum, to be used by the
State's Attorney for his services in the compiling of statistics
in criminal cases originating in Baltimore County, and the
printing and publishing thereof, which the said State's At-
torney is hereby directed to have done annually hereafter.

751. Any clerk or clerks appointed by the State's Attorney
under the provisions of Section 750, and the Deputy and
Assistant State's Attorney, shall, before entering upon the
duties of their offices, take and subscribe before the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Baltimore County, an oath that he or
she, as the case may be, will keep secret all matters and things
pertaining to the said State's Attorney's office.

752. Any clerk or clerks, or the Deputy Assistant State's
Attorney, appointed as aforesaid, who shall violate any of the
provisions of the preceding sections with regard to secrecy
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction
thereof shall be fined not exceeding One Thousand Dollars, or
imprisonment in jail, not exceeding one year, or be both fined
and imprisoned in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.
