CHAPTER 273.
(Senate Bill 372)

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commission-
ers of Allegany County to open the bridge known as
Flat Rock Bridge, and the approaches thereto, near Bar-
ton.

WHEREAS, the closing of the bridge known as Flat Rock
Bridge, near Barton, has caused much inconvenience to
the families living in the vicinity; and

WHEREAS, the opening of the bridge and the approach-
es thereto involve only a few yards of roads to be main-
tained; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Allegany
County be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
open the bridge known as Flat Rock Bridge, near Barton,
and the approaches thereto, to serve the convenience of
the people living in proximity thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

AN ACT to add 2 new sections to Article 41 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Gover-
nor—Executive and Administrative Departments", said
new sections to be known as Sections 175 and 176, in-
clusive, to be under a new sub-title "Traffic Safety Com-
mission", to follow immediately after Section 174 of said
Article, creating and relating to a Maryland Traffic Safe-
ty Commission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That 2 new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Admin-
istrative Departments", said new sections to be known as
