18. (Uniformity of Interpretation. ) This Article shall
be so interpreted and construed as to effectuate its general
purpose to make uniform the law of the states which enact
it.
19. (Constitutionality. ) If any provision of this
Article or the application thereof to any person or circum-
stances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other
provisions or applications of the Article which can be
given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end the provisions of this Article are declared
to be severable.
20. (Short Title. ) This Article may be cited as the
Uniform Trust Receipts Act.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act
be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1941.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 15 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Juries",
sub-title "Qualification and Selection of Jurors", so as to
modify the power of the courts to direct talesmen to be
summoned and to repeal all public local or general laws
inconsistent herewith.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 15 of Article 51 of the Annotated
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland (1939 Edition),
title "Juries", sub-title "Qualification and Selection of
Jurors", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
to read as follows:
15. The several courts of this State shall at all times
have power to direct talesmen to be summoned to serve on
