mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed upon by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 265.

(Senate Bill 361)

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 22 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Washington County", sub-title "Boonsboro", said
new sections to be known as Sections 60A, GOB and 60C
and to follow immediately after Section 60 of said Arti-
cle, to authorize the Mayor and Council of Boonsboro to
appoint a Park Commission and to define its duties and
powers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and they are hereby
added to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Washington County", sub-
title "Boonsboro", said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 60A, 60B and 60C and to follow immediately after
Section 60 of said Article, and to read as follows:

60A. The Mayor of Boonsboro, by and with the advice
and consent of the Council, shall immediately after June 1,

1941. appoint five resident tax payers of Boonsboro who
shall be known as and constitute the Park Commission of
Boonsboro, three of whom shall hold office until March 1,

1942. and two of whom shall hold office until March 1,

1943. and thereafter the term shall be for two years from
March 1st of the year in which they shall be appointed;
they shall qualify as other officials and shall elect one of its
members as Chairman of said Park Commission who shall
preside at all meetings, and one of its members as Secre-
tary who shall keep an accurate minute book of all its pro-
ceedings; they shall meet at least once a month, or as often
as may be necessary and shall serve without pay or com-
pensation whatsoever.

GOB. The said Park Commission is hereby authorized
and empowered to make such rules and regulations from
