boilers, spigots, coil, lead, solder, copper, alloys of metals or
manufactures of metals, tin plate, or any other like material
whatever, or to barter, purchase, exchange, buy, receive or
accept any other second-hand goods, wares, or merchandise
of any kind or nature whatever, without providing and keeping
books, and making therein at the time of such purchase, ex-
change, receiving or accepting the entries hereinafter provided.
533D. Every owner of such junk shops and second-hand
stores shall provide and constantly keep a book, in which shall
be fairly written down in the English language, at the time of
every purchase of any such material, a description of all ar-
ticles so purchased, the name and residence of the person from
whom such purchase was made, and the day and the hour of
such purchase, and such books shall at all times be open to
the inspection of any and every member of the police and de-
tective forces of any municipality in said County and to the
sheriff and any constable. Such book or books must be pre-
served for a period of at least three years after the date of
the last purchase or transaction recorded in such book.
533E. Any person who shall violate, or neglect, fail or re-
fuse to comply with any or all of the provisions of the two
preceding sections, shall for every offense, upon conviction
before any court of competent jurisdiction, be fined not less
than Five nor more than One Hundred Dollars, and in default
of payment thereof be imprisoned in jail for a period not ex-
ceeding ninety days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 237.
(House Bill 323)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 16 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Chancery", sub-title
"Divorce", said new section to be known as Section 41A
and to follow immediately after Section 41 of said Article,
providing for the granting of divorces in cases where one
spouse is permanently and incurably insane, prescribing the
procedure and extending the jurisdiction of Courts of Equity
to the custody of children and matters of alimony, mainte-
nance and support in such cases.
