or of the common law, shall be held to be validly constituted
public highways of the City of Salisbury.

(f) All of the inhabitants of the territory included within the
limits of the City of Salisbury by this Act shall in all respects
and to all intents and purposes be subject to the powers, juris-
diction and authority vested or to be vested by law in the
Mayor and Council of Salisbury, and to all the ordinances
now in force so far as the same may be consistent with the
provisions of this Act, and the territory so included shall in
all respects be taken and considered as part of the City of
Salisbury.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 236.
(House Bill 251)

AN ACT to add three new sections to Article 22 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Washington County", to be under sub-title "Junk Shops
and Second Hand Stores", said new sections to be known
as Sections 533C, 533D and 533E and to follow immediately
after Section 533B of said Article, relating to junk shops
and second hand stores in Washington County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title '"Washington County", to be under sub-
title "Junk Shops and Second Hand Stores", said new sections
to be known as Sections 533C, 533D and 533E, to follow im-
mediately after Section 533B of said Article, and to read as
follows:

JUNK SHOPS AND SECOND HAND STORES.

5330. It shall be unlawful for any keeper, owner, proprie-
tor or employee of any junk shop in Washington County, or
for any owner, proprietor or employee of any second-hand
store in said County to barter, purchase, exchange, buy or" ac-
cept from any person whatsoever, except plumbers holding
licenses as such, or the owner or owners of property or of
buildings from which the material is taken, any pipe, faucet,
