fixed by the County Commissioners of Talbot County, not
exceeding four dollars for every day's attendance upon
the sessions of said Court, and upon the certificate of
the Clerk of said Court, stating the number of days that
the said Bailiff or Bailiffs have attended said Court, the
County Commissioners of said County shall levy for the
use of said Bailiffs the amount that shall be due them.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 221.
(Senate Bill 270)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 112 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter
75 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1933, title "Talbot County", sub-title "Grier", relating
to the salary of the Crier of the Circuit Court for Talbot
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 112 of Article 21 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended
by Chapter 75 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1933, title "Talbot County", sub-title "Crier",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

112. The Crier of the Circuit Court for Talbot County
shall be entitled to and receive such compensation as may
be fixed by the County Commissioners of Talbot County,
not exceeding five dollars for each and every day he
shall be employed as such, which shall be in full and in
lieu of all other allowances; and the County Commissioners
are authorized and directed to levy annually for his use,
on the assessable property of said county, such sum of
money as they shall deem sufficient to pay said per diem;
and upon presentation to them of the certificates of the
clerk of said Court, certifying the number of days in which
said Crier has been engaged at each term of said Court,
they are directed to pay the said per diem in cash.
