added to said town: beginning for the same where the last
line of the original corporate limits of Rockville intersects
the center line of the right of way of the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad and running thence with the center line of
said Railroad S 42° 07' E to a point perpendicular to and
33 feet distant from the corner of Rockcrest and the land
of J. B. Edmonston, the corner being on the northeasterly
boundary line of said Railroad right of way; thence N 47°
53' E 33 feet to said corner of Rockcrest and Edmonston
and thence with the boundary line between Rockcrest and
Edmonston and between Rockcrest and Autre Park ex-
tended to the center line of the Viers Mill Road; thence in
a northeasterly direction and perpendicular to the center
line of said road, a distance of 205 feet; thence with the
line parallel to and 205 feet distant from the center line
of said Viers Mill Road in a northwesterly direction to
intersect the next to the last line of the original corporate
limits of the Town of Rockville on the westerly boundary
of 1st Street.

SEC. 2. That all of the territory hereby annexed to the
town of Rockville is hereby excluded from the limits of the
Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District and from the
limits of the Maryland-Washington Regional District, nor
shall the lands therein be subject to the jurisdiction, of the
Maryland National Capitol Park and Planning Commis-
sion, nor subject to. the ordinances thereof, and all of said
lands shall hereafter be exempt from taxes hereafter levied
for the purposes of said Metropolitan and Regional Dis-
tricts,

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed by an "aye" and "nay" vote sup-
ported by three-fifths of the membership elected of each
house of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
