Registry shall sit for said new registration at the place
designated by the Board of Supervisors of Elections on
Tuesday, August 18, 1942, and Tuesday, August 25, 1942,
and shall register names of voters on both days. The reg-
istry of voters made under the provisions of this section
shall supersede and thereafter be used in place of the
present registry of voters in Talbot County and the said
boards of registry shall sit on the day prescribed by Section
21 of said Article 33 for the intermediate registration of
voters preceding primary elections.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
effect June 1, 1941.

CHAPTER 196.
(Senate Bill 33)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
212, 215, 219, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224 and 227 of Article 56
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Licenses", sub-title "Traffic Court".

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 212, 215, 219, 220, 221, 222, 223, 224 and
227 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Traffic Court", be and the
same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

212. (Appointment. ) In addition to the justices of the
peace provided for in Section 712 of Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1938 Edition), there shall
be appointed by the Governor by and with the advice and con-
sent of the Senate from the City of Baltimore at large, five
justices of the peace to be known as magistrates of the Traffic
Court who shall be of high moral character and reputable
members of the bar of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City,
who shall have been actively engaged in the practice of law
for at least five years.

The Governor shall designate one of said justices to be
known as chief magistrate of the Traffic Court whose duties
shall be to care for the general business of said Court and to
have complete charge of the administration thereof with super-
visory control over the several clerks and other employees
