Section 4; sub-sections (a) and (b) of Section 7; sub-sec-
tions (b) and (c) of Section 9; sub-section (b) of Section
12; sub-section (a) of Section 13; and sub-sections (e), (g)
(1), (g) (7), (1) and (n) of Section 19 of Article 95A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), to repeal
Section 20 and sub-section (b) of Section 13 of said Article,
and to add a new sub-section (g) (8) to Section 19, a new
sub-section (b) to Section 13 of said Article, and a new
Section 20 to said Article, amending the Unemployment
Compensation Law generally.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sub-sections (b) (1), (b) (2) and (c) of Section 3;
sub-section (e) of Section 4; sub-sections (a) and (b) of Sec-
tion 7; sub-sections (b) and (c) of Section 9; sub-section (b)
of Section 12; sub-section (a) of Section 13; sub-sections (e),
(g) (1), (g) (7), (1) and (n) of Section 19 of Article 95A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), be and they
are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, that
Section 20 and sub-section (b) of Section 13 be and they are
hereby repealed, that a new sub-section (g) (8) be and it is
hereby added to Section 19, that a new sub-section (b) be and
it is hereby added to Section 13, and that a new Section 20 be
and it is hereby added to said Article, and all to read as fol-
lows:

BENEFITS.

3. (b) (1) Weekly Benefit Amount. An individual's
"weekly benefit amount" shall be the amount appearing in
Column B in the table in this sub-section on the line on which,
in Column A of such table, there appear the total wages
for insured work paid to such individual in that calendar
quarter of his base period in which such total wages were
highest.
