2070 VETOES.

The measure was introduced with the concurrence of the
County Commissioners of Washington County.

Wide-spread opposition manifested itself since the adjourn-
ment of the General Assembly. As a result, the State Senator
from the County and the County Commissioners have with-
drawn their support of the measure. Inasmuch as they were
most active in its enactment, I consider their change of atti-
tude as justifying the disapproval of the Bill and I will
accordingly veto it.
